I lived for many years in Athens, Greece during the crisis there, then returned home to the US and now am working on completing my PhD. I had a youthful interest in Hegel, published a book in Greece, and now have returned to that focus for my dissertation.

Research Project

Philosophy Rejuvenated: Hegel, Philosophy, Revolution and the End of History

This study aims to examine Hegel’s Philosophy and its continuation in the Young Hegelians like Marx, Bauer, Cieszkowski and Hess. By using these Young Hegelians to propose updating Hegel’s Philosophy of History and understanding his political positions and overall system better, we can rejuvenate Hegel’s philosophy for today, in a changed period of history.
